Booking & deposits
How do I book?
Text (951) 358-9373 or DM @phobyatattoo with your idea, placement, rough size in inches, reference photos and the days that work for you. You can also use the form on the home page — it goes straight to Jesus.
How much is the deposit?
$300. Your date isn't held until it's paid.
How do I pay the deposit?
Once your quote is approved, you'll get a payment link by text. Your date is locked in as soon as it goes through.
Do you take walk-ins?
No — it's by appointment only in Upland, CA. Text first and we'll find a date.
Pricing
How much is a full day?
$1,500 per day. Larger pieces like sleeves and back pieces are booked by the day.
What about smaller tattoos?
Smaller pieces are quoted one by one. Text your idea, placement and size and you'll get a price back.
Why do you need the size and placement?
They decide how long the piece takes and how much detail it can hold. The more exact you are, the more accurate the quote.
Rescheduling & no-shows
Can I reschedule?
Yes — give at least 48 hours' notice and your deposit carries over. The new date needs to be within one month.
What if I miss my appointment?
A no-show forfeits your deposit. To rebook, a new $300 deposit holds a new date.
Styles & subjects
What styles do you do?
Black & grey realism, traditional, and custom lettering — names, scripts and blackletter drawn by hand for you.
What won't you tattoo?
- Racist or hate imagery
- Gang-related work
- Satanic imagery
- Private areas
- Tribal or Japanese style
If your idea falls outside what I do, I'll tell you straight and point you to someone who specializes in it.
Do you do cover-ups?
Text a clear photo of the old tattoo in natural light with your idea, and I'll let you know what's possible.
Can I bring my own design or references?
Yes — the more references the better. Send them with your first text. The final design is drawn for your body and placement.
Before your session
Do I need to be 18?
Yes. California law requires you to be 18 or older, and you'll need a valid photo ID.
What should I tell you about my health?
Let me know about any health conditions, allergies, medications, skin conditions or pregnancy before your session. It's asked on the booking form and the consent form.
How should I prepare?
Get a good night's sleep, eat a solid meal beforehand, stay hydrated, and skip alcohol the day before. Wear clothes that give easy access to the area being tattooed.
Aftercare & touch-ups
How do I take care of it?
You'll leave in a Derm Shield wrap and swap to a second wrap on day 1. The full step-by-step is on the Aftercare page.
Are touch-ups free?
Touch-ups are free within one year of your session when aftercare was followed. Text a photo of the healed area and we'll set a short session.
